It’s our final campaign update, with three days until election day.
The Liberal Party of Canada has accomplished a lot in the past four years, and is committed to protecting the environment, making life more affordable and growing our economy. We need to continue to move forward and build upon the foundation that our government has laid in the last four years. Plant two billion trees over ten years as a natural solution to helping fight climate change.
The Liberal Party of Canada also shared its plans if re-elected to help middle class families, and to better support children of every age. These plans include:
Up to $1000 more from the Canada Child Benefit for children under the age of one
Guaranteed paid family leave for every parent for a child’s first year
New spaces and 10% lower fees for before and after school care
Tax-free maternity and parental benefits
New 15-week leave for parents who adopt
Before and after school care spaces with extended hours
